Germany- Akulatraxis timeline by Neethis Germany- Akulatraxis timeline by Neethis
Hey all.

This is a draft work of my ideas on Germany's European territories from :iconakulatraxis:'s alternate history, currently a WIP. I'm working on a few bits for him for it, including some national maps such as this, while I build myself up for more work on Anglo-Iberia :D

Few issues. This shows Germany giving up Memel, which they had not possessed at the time but probably would have liked. They also take land from Denmark which was mostly populated by Danes and chose to leave Germany. Having more of the southern Sudetenland might also be wanted, though Austria makes more sense. As would Luxembourg.

I agree, although this wasn't my timeline; a friend of mine has all the details, I just did the map based on what he asked ;)

Did your friend ever get a few pages of it down for a bit of light reading?

Not that I have, I'm afraid :P this was done a while ago now, I'm not sure if he'll even have it himself, lol.

If the Axis wins, wouldn't Germany annex most of eastern Europe and large parts of the USSR, since they could?

Its not that they win; it's not my timeline, but I believe an assination attempt on Hitler succeeds thanks to assistance from some of those that survive his purge of the early Nazi party. The resulting Germany sues for peace with it's enemies - part of that peace includes a slow roll back across Europe, allowing local forces to take over from German troops. The initial agreement states that Germany will go back to their pre 1939 borders, but a later rehashing of the treaty after the new Germany does various dealings with Russian and Great Britain primarily, sees Germany annexing various territories, such as are shown in this map :)

It's rather interesting that a (somewhat) victorious Germany still loses Klaipėda/Memel to Lithuania.

Made a deal with the Russians - in exchange for Memel and Germany's non-opposition to the Soviet's annexing the baltic states, Russia would be satisfied with Germany retaking the Danzig territory.

Thats just an idea at the moment anyway, the timeline is still a WIP :D

I see. Well, this is certainly an interesting twist to the tale :) It may also be possible that Germany would not retake Klaipėda/Memel after losing it in WW1 if the Soviets occupied the Baltic States (not necessarily completely, a strong military presence and "protection" agreement is enough) before Germany got around to reclaiming that land.
